Date Night, What to do with a 2 year old girl, Daughter and Dad date

Almost every Friday night, my mom watches Danni for us. If I am not working at the retail job than Chelsea and I usually go out for a date. It might be dinner or a movie or just run errands. It is nice to not have the kid and just be us. This story is NOT about one of those nights.

Last night, Chelsea was feeling a little under the weather, okay it was a lot under the weather. I took Danni and did what every little girl loves. We went shopping.

First, I had to take care of diner. I asked what she wanted. She sat up in her seat and said, "How about Chick-a-Fila? How about McDonald's?" I went with the Golden Arches. As we were going through the drive-thru, I asked what did she want.

"Toy"

Okay good to knows he has her priorities straight.

"French Fries"

Again a girl with priorties.

"Chicken" Ahh that is why she said Chick-a-Fila or McDonalds.

"Chocolate Milk. pleas"

I ordered her happy meal and she yelled, "I'm a big girl" into the speaker box. I guess she has done this before.

After eating dinner, we went to Hasting because they have a Thomas The Train Set Up there. I looked around the kids section while she played. I read a couple of comic books while she played.

Next we went to Best Buy because I had to buy some items for work. We wondered over to World Market. Did you know they are closing everything minus the beer is 10-35% off? There were some great deals in there.

Then we went to ride the "HORSIES!" As we drove up to the mall, Danni saw the carousel from the street. She could see them spinning around and around. "WAIT FOR ME! I'M COMING!"

We made a quick stop in the bathroom for a diaper change. Word to all parents out there the Wolfchase does not have a well equiped chnaging area. Most restraunts have the plastic chinging table. Wolfchase Galleria has a marble waist high area. This sounds great but there is no padding for tiny little heads. Luckily, I was resourceful by using and extra diaper as a pillow for Danni and she was smart enough to put her hands behind her head.

While we were changing, the bell would ring from the Merry-Go-Round and Danni would yell "They're calling me. I'm COMING!"

We rode twice. Once on a horse and once on a pig. She looked up at me during the 2nd ride and asked "You got me?" and before I could say anything both hand were up in the air "WEEEEEEEEEEE"

After the ride we went to the Disney store and looked around. Next we went to the book store. Danni picked out a pop-up book and I got a couple books I want to read.

We got home and went to bed.

One of the best dates of my life.

Where is Hasting? Is that the store they have "up north" that has books and movies and things? Or am I totally off base...
